Tis The Season For Vintage Goodies

Happy Wednesday everyone! It's cold her in Chicago. The Christmas trees are going up and the egg nog is in the fridge. I've been busy adding new pieces to my shop as well as shopping for the holidays. Not enough time in a day. I wanted to share with you some of my new jewelry. I have a lot more vintage to come. I love old keys, old earrings and anything that's beencollecting. It's always a bonus to re-use vintage goodies and be friendly to the Earth.  You can find these pieces in the Etsy shop by clicking on the links.  Enjoy!

Bamboo Is The Way To Go

I've been thinking of ways I can contribute to preserving the Earth.  I like checking out eco friendly ways to shop.  I've learned a bit about bamboo and am impressed.  First of all, it's one of the world's fastest growing plants.  It doesn't use agriculteral pesticides or dangerous insecticides.  There's a cool store online called Green Core http://www.greencores.com/  They sell bamboo towels and offer a nice variety in color.  And they are reasonably priced.  Check them out, they're awesome!

Etsy Success Stories

I sell handmade jewelry on Etsy.  My shop is http://www.caryz72.etsy.com/.  I'm looking for success stories from other Etsians.  How do you get people to your site?  What items do you sell?  Have social networking sites helped with your success?  Please comment and share with others.  Appreciate it.  Peace.

Don't Just Tweet

Do you support your fellow Tweeters?  I Tweet hoping that people will follow my blog.  I love being able to write everyday on my blog and share it with the world.  And as a Tweeter, I also make sure I keep up with the other Tweeters I'm following.  I check out their blogs, see what kind of stuff their selling and read a lot of articles.  Sometimes I'm not so interested in a blog but the point is that I at least give it a look.  So, if you want people to be interested in what your writing about, pay them a little attention by checking out what their writing about, etc.  Have any comments, advice on this post?  Leave one below.

Good morning everyone.  I've been diplaced because of work being done on my house.  I had to lock my three cats in my bedroom so they wouldn't bother the worker and off to the coffee house I went.  This will be a great chance to catch up on all the lovely Etsy shops and get some much needed work done.  It's quite drab in Chicago.  I hope it's sunny wherever you are.  This is where I wish I could be, on this sunny beach.  One can always dream.  Look for more updates today.

Thursday, September 3, 2009

Hi, I'm getting involved with this blog so I can share my jewelry creations with you. I also want to share the work of other Etsians. I have a lot of Etsy shops that I follow everyday and love, love, love to see what other people are making.

I have other ideas for this blog like I might have a section with recipes, or share my pictures, or show my works in progress. To date, I've never really maintained a blog for any long period of time. But I've decided that since I love to write and love to make jewelry, the two could team up together and make a difference.

I'm really excited about this so check back regularly for fun updates.
